We are building partnerships and learning from projects that work with the rehabilitation of military personnel in Ukraine.
We had the opportunity to visit and learn more about the operation, model, and activities of the Next Step Ukraine Medical Rehabilitation Center, which operates in Irpin. Since 2015, the project has been involved in organizing medical assistance and rehabilitation in the USA and Ukraine for Ukrainian soldiers who have been injured.
The director of the center, Tetiana Hrubeniuk, shared her experience and useful contacts. We also discussed the critical need for such institutions throughout the country and various aspects of the future center's activities.
Lots of military personnel are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the center, and we had the opportunity to be inspired by their example, resilience, and motivation.
This was the second visit of our team to this center, with the first visit led by the founder of the center, Oleg Pereguda, in January 2022.
We are grateful for their openness, assistance, and hope for continued cooperation.
